With a lifelong passion for the visual arts, Diana has been drawing and painting since she was a child. Diana was born and raised in New York, but her high-tech career drew her to the Bay Area in 1996 where she studied studio art at U.C. Berkeley Extension in San Francisco. Diana was named a Bay Area Emerging Artist in San Francisco in 2004 and was an exhibiting artist in The American Landscape at Alameda Art Center in 2004. She loves to experiment with water-based media, moving back and forth from more structured paintings to the abstract in what she describes as serious play.
Diana joined the Peninsula Museum of Art as an art educator in 2018 where she teaches classes in Leonardo’s Studio 10 for both children and adults. She believes that there’s an artist in everyone and she is dedicated to sharing the joy of making art with the community. Diana is a member of the National Watercolor Society and a number of her paintings are in private collections.
